Showcase Cinemas Celtics Banner Ads
As a part of one of our partnerships with the Boston Celtics, we place digital advertisements promoting specific films available at Showcase Cinemas. Studio companies would request this specific type of advertising within their film’s advertisement budget. As lead designer of this partnership I would split the design with the studio’s film artwork and the Showcase Cinemas branding including play date and call-to-action. Standards requirements for the digital banners included studio’s legal bugs/ copyright, film’s rating, film’s title treatment and key art. Showcase Cinemas couldn’t interfere with the film’s art. Finally per the NBA regulations, none of the artwork can contain the weapons/ violent imagery. These banner ads are displayed on the Celtics apps and websites directing consumers to the Showcase Cinemas website to get tickets for the specific film.
