Showcase Cinemas Taylor Swift Eras Tour Film Campaign

When the Taylor Swift Eras Tour Film was announced, Showcase Cinemas Marketing Team took the big task of launching a full campaign of activations promoting the film. As the office’s dedicated Swifite, I became the Art Director and Lead Designer for the campaign.
We marketed the film under our concert event collection, “Showcase Arena,” which brings concerts to the theaters.
Throughout the campaign, Showcase Cinemas Marketing Team produced emails, giveaways, audience engagement and photo opportunities, gifts with purchases, and more!

Digital Ads

To promote the concert event of this decade in theaters, ads were place on the Showcase website, social media pages, and email promotions. 

Photo Opportunity

At the time of the film’s release  Showcase Cinemas sent Photo Opportunity backdrop to our top 8 theater circuits. These banner drops gave the Swifties a great place to take photos prior or after the show. These were reposted all over fan’s social media and were a huge hit.

Opening Event

To celebrate the opening of the Eras Tour Concert Film, we hosted an event at our Legacy Place location in Dedham, Massachusetts. This event  had friendship bracelet making, music in the lobby, glitter tattoos and Starpass sign-up incentives. The signage displayed was designed by yours truly.  

Gift with Purchase & Giveaways

We all know Swifties LOVE keepsakes and memorabilia, so as a sales incentive to purchasing a ticket to the film, the customer received a polaroid. With this polaroid, the customer has a physical remembrance of watching the Eras tour on the big screen at Showcase Cinemas. Each theater received a different polaroid print so Swifties can collect different variations with the surrounding theaters. 

Another part of the campaign was a Taylor Swift giveaway that was posted on the Showcase Cinemas social media pages and Starpass emails. Anyone could enter within the age and location limits.
